TC2000 Class - How to use it, for Beginners and Intermediates.
Friday afternoon (after the market closes) 2 p.m till 3:45 pm January 7 and January 14, 2005 in the Lecture Hall
[TC2000 and TCNet are financial software from Worden Brothers. TC is a contraction of Telechart.]
The emphasis will be on what is most helpful to a beginner. With this software learning happens in a somewhat erratic fashion. There is no one way to begin or to continue. The classes should be meaningful to those who are more experienced too.
So bring your questions and your expertise to share. I will try to have enough prepared to set up a flow that makes sense and, for sure, what is discussed will be interesting for those who are way beyond the beginner stage too.
Worden Bros actually provides the data for the monthly fee, the software comes with it as a freebie. But I have never figured out how one could use the software without the data! Many say it is the most comprehensive financial software available. The company also goes to great lengths to provide support and education for their customers.
For those who are new to the Computer Club, this is the third winter I have taught a class on TC2000/TCNet at the club. It grew out of the Saturday afternoon meetings. Last March we began a TC2000 Users Group open to all, not just members of GVR and the Computer Club. This meets twice a month, once in Tucson and once in Green Valley.
This brings expertise into our circle that would otherwise not be available. The next Users Group meeting is on January 15 at the University Medical Center at Speedway and Campbell. Please get in touch with me for directions if you would like to attend. The speaker will be Doug MCKee who is a retired Financial professional who is anxious for all of us to know what Money Management means to your success. He tells me his topic is broader than that. The rest we will find out on the 15th. I enjoy the times I'm not up front myself as I learn something new each time I'm part of the audience.
The Green Valley Library is reserved for the following Saturday, January 22. But Charles Schwab has offered to host a meeting and picked that date. They have not yet contacted me to let me know where we will meet and I'm not canceling the library reservation until that is firmly fixed. There will be a meeting somewhere on the 22nd!
Come to the classes if you use TC2000 or TCNet (this is the same with several additional features that are very useful) and come if you are curious what difference it might make to your understanding of market or individual stock behavior. I'm told that many members of the Tucson/Green Valley Users Group do not use Telechart at all. I know that many are subscribers to IBD. They keep coming to our meetings so there must be something going on that catches and keeps the interest of some who don't use Telechart themselves. I subscribe to IBD but don't use it as much. The Worden software gives me more than enough information and data and there is more to life than devoting more time than necessary to the stock market.

P.S. I may be a few minutes late if the market is having an exciting close (for me) but that is not a usual occurrence.
