The Computer Club of Green Valley is a Green Valley Recreation club. The mission of the Club is to provide computer education and a place for members to share ideas.
The Computer Club of Green Valley hosts over 100 classes per month during the peak winter season. Three "Hands On" classrooms are used for individualized classes. Two are set up for Windows XP and one for Macintosh operating systems. Class sessions are offered for the first time user to the more experienced user.
A large lecture hall is used for demonstrations, lectures and group meetings. Each Windows classroom and the lecture hall has a projector for instructor use. There are over 40 Windows and MAC computers available for member use in the club's work areas. Some of the computers in the general lab area are dedicated to digital photoraphy and financial uses. The computers with the digital photography programs installed also have specialized scanners for film, slides and negatives.
The Club has a General Membership Meeting on the third Tuesday afternoon of each month from October through May. A short business session is usually followed by a special presentation at each General Meeting.
The Computer Club of Green Valley has annual dues of $25 per individual or $35 per family. Members must also be A Green Valley Recreation member.
